The classic game of fishing is familiar and safe for children. Fishing can be made into different versions and can be made challenging for different age levels.
Using the right rod in angling adds excitement to the game.
Five new games for children's parties:
1. Magic show magician's hat
An adult can be a magician. You don't have to be a professional to put on this show, just a good imagination, a touch of childishness and humor are enough.
So you need a big hat and a jacket with two pockets for items to make playing easier.
You will need two small objects per guest. For example, Kinder egg surprises, coins, a button, a feather. The objects must be clearly distinguishable from the object placed in the hat during play.
The idea of the game is that each child takes turns slipping a small object into the magician's hat. Each child gets to choose an object from the table. And then takes turns dropping it into the magician's hat. Together, you have to say the magic words and the magician pulls out another object to replace it. (The magician secretly slips the object the child dropped into his pocket.)
This is especially suitable for young children, but also for older children with a good sense of humor.
2. Nice things about the birthday boy/girl
The idea of the game is to place a cardboard heart or plate on the birthday hero's back so that the hero himself cannot see the plate. Each guest gets a marker and takes turns writing one nice thing about the birthday hero on the hero's back.
(This game is suitable for children from preschool age onwards, so they can write. But if you are playing with younger children, the guest can whisper something to the adult who will write it for the child.
Easy to implement and the hero will have a nice memory of the party!
3. Let's explore nature playfully and make a keepsake for ourselves
If you are holding a birthday party in the yard, the idea of the game is that the children can take a peaceful walk in nature for a while. The yard doesn't have to be big. Children will find treasures in the rocks, branches and pine cones.
Spread out a table with shelter from the wind in jars etc. Small decorations, glue, markers, string and feathers. The only limit is your imagination.
Each child can choose their favorite treasure from nature and decorate it. This is a good idea to do this well in advance of the birthday party so that each item has time to dry and each child can take it home with them. If you want to save money and not make gift bags, this treasure is a great way to do the same! A nice keepsake from the birthday party to take home!
4. Continue the story with a play
You need a large piece of paper or cardboard, markers or paints like you have in your bag, and an adult with a lot of imagination and reasonable drawing skills.
For example, gather the children in a circle on the floor and the adult will position himself so that all the children can see you. For example, plan in advance a fairy tale theme that is appropriate for the season. For example, in summer the theme could be Squirrel on a forest trip and in winter the Elf on a skating trip.
Draw a starting picture when you tell the children where the story begins, and each child can tell the continuation of the story by referring to it.
This is easy to do and will help the children calm down for a while. The adult should guide the story and draw or paint, and the play can continue as long as the children can concentrate and when the story progresses smartly towards the end.
This game can also be played outdoors and indoors is great for calming down on rainy days. The only limit is your imagination!
5. Imitate moving play
You will need some space and a small mat or exercise mat. If you want, you can put on some happy but calm music in the background. However, the point of this game is not to keep up a high pace, but to use your imagination and have fun together!
This game is a popular activity with my sister and my athletic daughters, and we figured we could use this at parties too!
If the birthday boy is not shy and enjoys exercise, he can start and the turn always goes in the order of the children in the line (this way there will be no arguments over turns). So the idea of the game is that each person takes turns going onto the mat and showing the others an easy movement, which the others then do after. The movements are not meant to be difficult, for example a small X-jump, a rabbit jump, or clapping their hands together are sufficient. If someone is not doing a movement completely correctly, they do not start correcting it, but the idea is to have fun together and move lightly. And the children are happy to teach others. Adults can also participate in the game!
You can continue this game for a few rounds and at the end of the game, we gather to shake hands, clap or something else and thank each other for the fun movements and game! This way everyone will have a good time and even those who don't come naturally to exercise will get good exercise and experience success!
