"Dia de Los Muertos" is a commemoration of the dead, which is celebrated every year on the 1st-2nd. November. Dia de Los Muertos is celebrated at the same time as Catholic commemoration of the dead, All Saints' Day and Memorial Day of the Faithful, which in Finland corresponds to All Saints' Day, or more commonly known as Halloween. Despite the dark theme, Dia de Los Muertos is a happy, boisterous celebration. A lot of colors and flowers are used in the decoration. A common symbol of the celebration is the skull.
